David brings his magnificent style of writing to bear in his screenplay of the Lodgers which was filmed in Wexford. A Gothic Horror movie which has just been released on DVD, it’s amazing to see places like Tintern Abbey, Johnstown Castle and of course Loftus Hall used as locations. Conor Buggy
“Dammit Jim he’s a doctor not a drag queen”.

Dr Conor Buggy is a UCD lecturer and member of the National LGBT Federation. He has been an avid sci-fi / fantasy fan since his mother gave him two books at age eight – Charles Darwin’s Origin of the Species and JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings.

He was a member of the University Management Team Working Group which was established in September 2016 to draft a UCD Gender Identity Policy and supporting Guidelines. This is an amazing policy, the first of its kind in Ireland. Read more HERE. He also played a very active role in the last two referenda.

Janet O’Sullivan.

(aka Janet Ní Shuilleabháin)

Janet Ní Shuilleabháin is a prominent Irish human rights activist, sci-fi convention organiser and feminist, and was named one of the BBC’s 100 Women of 2016. She is chairperson of Octocon – The National Science Fiction Convention and is also involved with Worldcon 2019, the World Science Fiction convention visiting Ireland for the first time next year. She grew up reading books by amazing women like Ursula Le Guin, Andre Norton, Anne McCaffrey, reading comics and watching Wonder Woman on TV.

She is an avid blogger, twitterer and activist. Janet was a former spokesperson for the Abortion Rights Campaign and is also a Bi-Visiblity activist who has campaigned for Marriage Equality.
